I have and it is very bad Pentim Dual core with 1.73 Ghs. It can’t play Half life 2 on full
but the max is 2GB…. which is terrible in a laptop in this day n age

i got the n200 to use at school. and it works ok… im having a problem with the fan noise though
This is also the model, I am using. And mine did exactly the same as you describe. Battery died and eventually the laptop only worked without the battery. Shortly after the screen died. Had both replaced a year ago and so far doing okay since then.
i have the n200 and its good… except for the battery life and the graphics that just died
I’m using this laptop right now. It’s pretty good, but the only complaint I have with it is that the battery is terrible. It completely died after about a year and wouldn’t even hold a charge. More recently it started to actually drain power from the PC. Not sure how that’s possible but my computer would shut down randomly. I had to rip out the battery, and now it’s running fine. Only problem is it’s not portable anymore. Gotta run off the cable, haha.

I bought the 3000 N200 about 2 months ago and love it! For the Linux geeks out there, Ubuntu 8.04 only needs slight tweaking to have it work on this machine. The only thing is the multi card reader isn’t fully functional in Linux yet. I wouldn’t call this laptop “beautifully designed” though..it’s just average in that way. Great bang-for-the-buck though!
Just ordered an N500, it arrives tomorrow. I’ve had two second hand laptops in the past and they both died within months meaning leaving me with a desktop PC which is now also dying on it’s arse (all the PCI slots just stopped working). It’ll be nice to have something reliable and new, I can’t be arsed constantly dismantling PC’s anymore, it gets old.

Mine has no finger print reader, and it has vista home premium. Yes it’s a Lenovo 3000 N100. I got it from circuit city for 465.96 plus tax. look it up at circuit city. It’s cheap.

15,4 is now pretty much standard, why talk about VibrantView if you cannot see it, just a name for viewers.
Although I can recommend it over R61. The better looks is an opinion but T series are good Thinkpads. I didn’t get the expected quality out of my R60 so I would rather buy a Lenovo branded laptop for lower price with much better hardware.
